Extended Health Benefits
Depending on your current health insurance provider and employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for services known as ‘Registered Counselling Therapist’, ‘Registered Clinical Therapist’ or ‘Psychotherapist’. We can bill direct to Blue Cross. For all other insurance providers, we will issue you a detailed paid receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
First Nations & Inuit Health Benefits
The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program is a national program that provides coverage to registered First Nations and recognized Inuit to support them in reaching an overall health status that is comparable with other Canadians. The Non-Insured Health Benefits Program provides coverage for a limited range of medically necessary goods and services to which these clients are not entitled through other plans and programs.
Income Tax Claim
Some small business owners and some Nova Scotians can claim counselling fees under their Health Spending Account or as a medical expense when they file their income tax with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Private Clients
Many of our clients choose to pay privately for appointments. Working privately allows you the freedom to work with the therapist you choose, as often as you choose.
Our Promise
We are devoted to being fully present with our clients, we show up with immense empathy and are committed to the therapeutic process; we trust this focus will be evident in our work together.
