Valerie Laurna Scholarship
To encourage those entering the field of mental health and in support of our community and all Nova Scotians, ML Family Counselling is pleased to offer 2 scholarship awards of $1,000 each available for the 2023-2024 school year.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Accepted into either the Masters of Arts Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University or the Masters of Education Counselling program at Acadia university to begin either September or January of the scholarship application year
- Or be actively enrolled in the first 6 months of either program (above) at the time of the scholarship application deadline
- Resident of Nova Scotia
A complete application must be submitted to be considered for this scholarship which includes:
- A completed application (link below and all fields completed)
- A 1000-word essay describing your desire to work in mental health
- A copy of your CV
- Two letters of references (one professional)
- Verification of enrolment in program MACP or MEd program
Applications can be submitted until July 14th, 2023 at 11:59pm or November 17th , 2023 at 11:59 pm
