Hello!
My name is Dianna Lesperance (she/her), and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. I hold a professional membership with the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
In a world where the pressures of our modern society can often leave us feeling disconnected and overwhelmed, it is no wonder we can feel stuck or lost in our current phase of life. I work from a space of deep compassion and understanding, offering a nurturing environment for emotional well-being. With a gentle demeanour and compassionate heart, I provide a safe, trusting, collaborative space for clients to develop stronger connections with themselves and family systems, fostering self-awareness, self-acceptance and other skills needed to navigate the complex ebbs and flows of life.
In the past, my roots were grounded in a strong corporate background in operations, sales, and analytics. As I branched off in my life, I founded a divorce coaching practice and worked in social services, which further fueled my passion to pursue my career in mental health. From a non-judgemental lens, I work to understand the complexities of human emotions and the struggles that accompany them. I work with individual teens and adults, couples, and families. My areas of interest include relationships and parenting issues, co-parenting relationships, healthy family relationships, communication, sex positivity, borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, grief and loss, identity, and neurodiversity.
My specialized training includes Divorce Coach certification, the Gottman method of compassion-focused Therapy (CFT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), integrative sex therapy for couples and somatic therapy. Other modalities, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mental health nutrition, support integrative practices for improved well-being. Future training focuses include an advanced couple and family studies certificate and an Autplay certification.
I look forward to connecting with you,
Dianna
Everyone is Welcome
