Welcome!

My name is Hayley (she/her) and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists.

Beginning therapy for the first time or starting with a new therapist can be a daunting and nerve-wracking experience; therefore, my aim is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment that allows you to show up as your most authentic self and grow at your own pace. My greatest priority is ensuring you feel heard, understood, respected, and comfortable within our therapeutic relationship as I know being vulnerable and trusting someone with our deepest thoughts, feelings, insecurities, and traumas can be extremely challenging. In our work together, we will collaboratively explore your concerns, experiences, and goals to help you plan a new way forward.

I support individuals, ages 18 and up, and couples from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and lived experiences. My areas of clinical focus include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, relational and sexual health, and existential concerns, such as loss of identity, purpose in life, and legacy. I am trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy (Level 2) and currently completing training in Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy to help individuals and couples explore challenges surrounding communication, conflict, connection, infidelity, and intimacy within their relationships.

While my treatment approach will be tailored to meet your individual needs and expectations, I frequently draw from several primary therapeutic modalities, such as Person-Centered Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, in my clinical work. I see therapy as a collaborative process between therapists and their clients; therefore, we will work as a team to construct a treatment approach that aligns with your current situation and ambitions for the future. Regardless of why you are seeking therapy, I would be honoured to walk beside you on your healing journey and offer support in any way possible.

I look forward to connecting with you and learning about your story.

Warmest,

Hayley

Everyone is Welcome
