Senior Therapist – Specialized Training
(Highly experienced therapists with advanced certifications and expertise in specific areas of practice. This designation is noted on the therapist’s biography page, and you will be informed during the intake process.)

Annual Rate Increase
The Clinic reserves the right to adjust service rates annually. Effective each January 1st, fees may increase to account for increase to cost of living. Clients will be provided with written notice of any rate changes at least 30 days in advance of the adjustment taking effect.
Payment
Payments are due at the time of the appointment unless pee-arrangements with third parties have been made with our Accounts Team. A valid credit card is required to be kept on file unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Direct Billing to Blue Cross
We are pleased to offer direct billing to Blue Cross. The third-party billing authorization form must be completed by you before the first session you wish to have billed directly. A valid credit card is required to be kept on file, even if you have arranged for Blue Cross to be billed directly. This ensures we can process payments if your coverage is exhausted or if there is a co-pay or
balance remaining. If you have Blue Cross as a secondary insurance, we are not able to bill
directly. In this case, your credit card will be charged, and a detailed receipt will be issued so you can seek reimbursement from your insurance provider.
Cancellation Policy
24 business hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling appointments. This allows us to offer the time to another client who may be waiting for services and ensures your therapist’s time is respected and compensated.
If you cancel with less than 24 business hours’ notice or do not attend your scheduled appointment, the full hourly rate will be charged. This fee must be paid before booking any further therapy sessions.
Cancellations are accepted by emailing your therapist directly or by contacting us at Intake@MLfamilycounselling.com. Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or voicemail to ensure we have clear written records.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy, which helps us maintain consistent, accessible care and supports our therapists’ ability to plan their schedules and income reliably.
Extended Health Benefits
Depending on your current health insurance provider and employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for services listed as Registered Counselling Therapist, Registered Clinical Therapist, or Psychotherapist. We are only able to bill direct to Blue Cross.
