Our Intake Coordinator will be the first person you connect with at the clinic. Based on your preference she can email, text or phone.
The purpose of connecting with the Intake Coordinator is to make sure you are best matched with a therapist that feels like a good fit for you. The importance of chemistry and rapport between therapist and client is of utmost importance as it is the primary predictor of successful therapy.
The Intake Coordinator will ask a few questions about what you are experiencing and what you hope to get from therapy. She will then match you with a therapist who has the skills, training and expertise to work within the area you wish to focus. We also recommend reading the therapists biographies, this usually helps to provide a reliable gut-check and you can request your best-fit.
We encourage you to ask questions about the way the therapist works, what happens in therapy, what to expect your first session or details about payment and scheduling.
When you are ready, the Intake Coordinator will take some basic personal information and set you up in our electronic health management system to get things started for you and on your way to your first session.
The entire process takes about 20-45 minutes.
