Hello, I’m Nic (they/them), a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate and Canadian Certified Counsellor with boundless curiosity about the way people make meaning in their worlds. I am passionate about helping people who are struggling with anxiety and depression, and who are looking to reconnect with joy in their lives. As your therapist, I will offer a nonjudgmental, nurturing space for you to process old hurts and reach new levels of self-understanding.
I work from an integrative lens, meaning that I draw on a variety of approaches in supporting your wellness, including narrative, person-centered, emotion-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapies. My practice is collaborative and trauma-informed and emphasizes mindfulness, attachment, and self-compassion. I also work from a feminist framework that is rooted in anti-oppressive values and an awareness of the ways that power and oppression impact our mental health.
My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, identity, life transitions, disordered eating, relationships, grief, and self-esteem. Whatever has brought you to seek support, our work will be tailored to your needs. Nobody knows you better than you do, and your knowledge of yourself is a valuable resource that we will draw upon. Through our work together, we will write a new story that will support you to experience life in the way you want to.
As a queer non-binary counsellor, I am fiercely passionate about my community and celebrating queerness, transness, and gender diversity. With that said, I am honoured to work with folks from all walks of life. When I am not working, you can find me curled up with a good book, spending time with my loved ones, or walking near the ocean.
If you are stuck and ready for something to shift, I am here. Together we’ll chart a course forward - one that brings happier relationships, skills that make the hard days a little softer, and a greater sense of fulfillment and peace.
Reaching out for support is a courageous act. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you in your journey. I look forward to meeting you!
Everyone is Welcome
