Welcome,

My name is Grace (she/her) and I hold a Bachelor of Education and have experience mentoring youth of all ages. I also hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am currently a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Outside of work, I may be found travelling the globe, hiking with my corgi Gemma, baking, or reading fantasy novels.

My professional practice is guided by the belief that beyond our emotional pain are unmet needs, which, when discovered, can be addressed and met. I would be honoured to work with you to explore these needs and help you become more attuned to your authentic self. A cornerstone of a therapeutic relationship is trust, and I will endeavour to create a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters its development. In my office, we are a team, and we will work collaboratively toward your goals. Whether that be establishing boundaries, fostering secure connections, changing self-talk, or identifying barriers and patterns that hinder your ability to experience a fulfilling and balanced life.

My therapeutic style is very eclectic but is grounded from a client-focused lens which draws on various interventions and techniques to adapt to the best fit for each clients unique needs. I often incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural, Emotion Focused, Mindfulness, Narrative, Solution Focused, and Person-Centered approaches. Areas of interest include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, career challenges, childhood trauma and abuse, social skills training, disordered eating, body image dissatisfaction, and stress management.

We live in a messy world but when the pain you feel becomes too difficult to cope with, let me relieve some of that burden. If you simply yearn to feel seen and heard without judgment, you are in the right place. Remember, we can do hard things!

Be messy and complicated and afraid and show up anyway” -Glennon Doyle.

I so look forward to working with you!

Grace

Everyone is Welcome
