My name is Sarah Kilfoil, I’m a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate licensed with Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. I maintain a small caseload in my private practice and work full time for HRCE as a school counsellor at the elementary and junior high levels since 2021.
My prior work experience includes working for Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA) for 13 years as a teacher for students who are blind or visually impaired.
I offer support to school-aged children and teens, ages 5-18. I draw from various modalities such as art therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused, CBT, and DBT. I am experienced working with adolescents who are ADHD, Autistic, have learning disabilities, and visual impairments.
